DNP (DSM Nutritional Products) supplies vitamins, carotenoids and other fine chemicals to the feed, food, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. The Research & Development Centre Human Nutrition provides state-of-the-art science for Human Nutrition and Health within DNP. Its mission is to identify, develop and demonstrate efficacy of new products for human nutrition and health, and provide scientific product support, including safety assessments. DNP manufactures formulated Vitamin D3 and Omega-3 Fatty Acids which will be used in DO-HEALTH.
As a partner of DO-HEALTH, DNP provided the study medication (Vitamin D, Omega-3 fatty acids) and the DNP Research & Development Centre Human Nutrition laboratory performs plasma analytics for 25-Hydroxyvitamin D and Omega-3 Fatty Acids.
